Jaap Favier
Research Director & Vice President, Forrester

Jaap manages a team of European analysts based in London and Amsterdam who research the impact of the Internet and emerging interactive mediums. His own research focuses on online media, the travel industry and social media. Prior to this, Jaap was a senior analyst within Forrester's European Internet Commerce group, where he analysed European trends in business-to-business eCommerce. Jaap has also been involved with IT consulting, defence industry research and founded Traxxer, an eBusiness company. 


Andrew Ferguson
Journalist, ADSLguide.org.uk

Andrew writes for ADSLguide.org.uk, the UK's largest independent broadband review site providing news on developments within the broadband industry that affects both consumers and businesses. Andrew has been with the site since its establishment in 2000 and is responsible for the site’s news output, as well as playing an active roll in the development of its community forums. He also regularly supplies independent and expert advice on the broadband market to the mainstream press. 


John Fisher
Chief Executive, Citizens Online

John trained as an RAF fast jet pilot and worked in local government before joining Citizens Online as Chief Executive in 2000. John has since developed Citizens Online into a highly respected organisation influencing and lobbying body. John was a member of the Government's Digital Inclusion Panel, an adviser to the Government's Minister at the EU e-Inclusion Summit, and is currently an advisor to the ICT in Schools Programme and the Social Exclusion Unit.


Ian Fogg
Research Director, Jupiter


Ian is a research director at JupiterResearch Europe where he is responsible for research and analysis covering European broadband, VoIP, new platforms and personal technology. He has been quoted about broadband, VoIP, Wi-Fi, and personal technology in both industry trade publications and in leading news organisations such as Reuters, BBC News Online, The Sunday Times (UK), CNN, and the Financial Times (Germany). Ian provides business advice to clients on how to leverage new markets and technology with current and future products.


Dinah Greek
News Editor, Computeractive

Dinah Greek has been a journalist for the past 18 years writing on business, science and technology topics ranging from reporting on developments in Bosnia and Kosovo to space and rollercoasters. In September 2000, Dinah was appointed News Editor for Computeractive. She then joined the VNU central news team as Consumer News Editor, while still providing lead stories for Computeractive. In addition, Dinah writes and researches for the consumer watchdog page and looks after the magazine’s website.

Richard Mahony
Practice Leader, Enterprise, Ovum

Richard is the Enterprise Practice leader where he focuses on ICT management and supplier selection services. Through his work with multi-national companies he has developed an in-depth understanding of enterprise IT and communications management. He has advised blue chip organisations around ICT strategy development, commercial management and operational efficiency programmes. Recently, he has worked with telco clients to define their next-generation network strategies.  


Tony Marson
Senior Analyst, Yankee Group

Tony has had 16 years of research experience in a variety of technology-driven industries leading him to his current position as a Senior Analyst at the Yankee Group. His position in the Telecommunication Strategies Europe (TSE) Decision Service focuses strongly on ICT convergence and the European wholesale markets analysing the traditional voice and data markets and emerging converged applications. He has been a key advisor to an international client base, including Sprint, France Telecom, NTT, C&W, AT&T, FLAG, Cisco, and Alcatel.


Dr Victoria Nash
Policy and Research Officer, Oxford Internet Institute

Victoria is Policy and Research Officer at the Oxford Internet Institute, a department in Oxford University's Social Sciences division. She is responsible for connecting academic research on the societal impact of new communication technologies with policy and practice. Victoria is also a Lecturer in Politics for Trinity College, Oxford. Victoria has previously worked as a Research Fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Research, and has been published extensively.


Professor Michael Rotert
President, EuroISPA

Michael was a founding member of the Internet Society in 1991, and later founded Xlink - one of the first ISP's in Germany - in 1993. He has chaired eco - the Internet service provider association of Germany - since 2000, and has acted as a consultant to the EC and the US Department of Commerce. Michael has been a board member of EuroISPA since 2000, and has held the Presidency since 2003.

Claire Woffenden
Editor, Web User

Claire is the editor of Web User, the UK's best-selling internet magazine. She has been with the magazine since its launch in 2001 and has a passion for ensuring technology is understandable and accessible to all. She has written about technology and the Internet since 1998, covering the early days of unmetered internet access right through to the arrival of 24Mbps broadband.
